In 2001, Kansas State University - Research and Extension and the Kansas
Nursery and Landscape Association developed a great program which makes plant
selection easier.
KNLA Members make plant nominations each year for each of the three
categories. A selection committee chooses the plants from those
nominations. All selected plants have been grown and tested for for
outstanding qualities by Kansas State Research and Extension. Each of
these plants was selected specifically because they can throve int the changing
Kansas climate.
If you are looking for landscape plants that will withstand the diverse
weather conditions in Kansas...these plants are a great place to begin!
2008 Pride of Kansas posters are provided free of charge to
KNLA members.
